Meet Jason

Candidate for Mesa School Board

I am a proud product of Arizona public schools and a graduate of Sunnyslope High School. Public education shaped my life, and today I am committed to strengthening it for the next generation. I am the father of a second grader with autism who attends Mesa Public Schools. Like many families, I navigate the special education system to ensure my child receives the support he needs to succeed. That perspective is not theoretical it is personal and it drives my commitment to ensuring every student has the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Experience That Matters

Professionally, I bring real world leadership and budgeting experience as a small business owner. For the past eight years I have owned and operated an auction house, and I also run a company that helps student athletes secure name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities. Earlier in my career, I worked at a large corporation managing an international call center team, and I was the Director of Operations for a consumer products company. These experiences taught me how to manage teams, solve problems, negotiate, and make responsible financial decisions.

I am an active advocate for students and families. I'm an Advisor on the Committee of Practitioners for the Arizona Department of Education, I'm on the Mesa Public Schools Parent Council, and am currently the only parent serving on my school’s PTO. I am also a member of the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) and the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA).

I regularly attend School Board meetings and engage respectfully when policies affecting students and families are discussed. I also attend City Council meetings because strong schools do not operate in isolation. A school board member must understand how city planning, public safety, economic development, and community partnerships all influence the success of our schools. I believe board members must listen, ask thoughtful questions, and make decisions rooted in what is best for students—not politics or outside pressure.
